England has now notbeaten Australia in a match at Lord’s since 1934 when England won byan innings and 38 runs.Umpires Steve Bucknor and John Holder were officiating in their 58thand 11th match respectively.Mike Atherton was captaining England after a gap of more than threeyears. He had last captained England against West Indies at St.John’sin March 1998.When Glenn McGrath trapped Mike Atherton LBW in England’s firstinnings, it was the 15th time he was dismissing this opener.McGrathbecame first Australian and only the fifth bowler in Test annals todismiss a particular batsman on as many as 15 occasions.
