Andre Adams, the New Zealand allrounder, will miss the Chappell-Hadlee trophy against Australia next month owing to a finger injury.New Zealand manager Lindsay Crocker said Adams injured his left ring finger during a training session for Auckland on Friday, and is expected to be on the sidelines for six weeks.”Andre saw a specialist yesterday who confirmed that he would be in a cast for five weeks,” Crocker said. “He will then require physiotherapy to fully recover from the ‘mallet finger’ injury.”Adams, 30, made his debut against Australia in 2002 and has played 39 one-day internationals, with a batting average of 19.47. He has also taken 52 wickets at an average of 28.73.
